Carpediem
Counselling was established by Marie (Maz) Boyce,RMN, Cert C, Dip C,
who has over 20 years experience in this field. Counselling has changed
considerably over the last 20 years and Carpediem has been set up to
take full advantage of new technology to help their clients. The first
of these services is to use MSN Messenger to offer clients confidential
counselling from their own homes and outside normal working hours.
Her
career began working in a large psychiatric hospital where she spent
nine years working in the acute services division. This gave her a huge
amount of experience in dealing with people from all walks of life.
Feeling
the need for a new challenge, Maz took the next logical step and became
qualified as a counsellor. Since the completion of the the courses she
has held positions in Woman's Aid, The National Childbirth Trust and
Basingstoke Rape and Sexual Abuse Crisis Centre.
Further
courses she has completed include Bereavement Care, Police Forensics,
Dealing with Terminal Care and Supporting Parents through Stillbirth,
Premature Death of a Child and Termination due to Foetal Anomoly. These
have given her a wide breadth of expereince and skill that has lead her
to launching this online counselling service.
Maz is registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and her registration number is 592554.
