When the session is due to start, please make sure you are online and the MSN application is open. You can use MSN in the normal way, all conversations are private.

Please note: we keep all clients 'Blocked' on MSN except when they are due to have a counselling session so that the Counsellor can focus on the client.

You can keep a record of conversations to review later, go to Tools - Options - Messages and in this Window click the button called 'Automatically keep a record of my conversations'

Session format

The sessions are audio only. Whilst the use of abbreviations and emoticons are common place on MSN, we would ask that you try keep to ‘normal’ English or common abbreviations where possible in order to ensure there are no misunderstandings.

If we do not understand then we will ask you to clarify any statement.

Confidentiality

We keep a transcript of each session which we keep confidential and conform to the relevant Data Protection Legislation.
